leaves changed color

Postby Leta » Fri Aug 19, 2011 4:06 pm

Hi,
I have a Hoya that I received at a plant trade, so I do not know the name. When I first received it, the leaves were mostly green with a little pink and white. Now they are just green with a few silver speckles.

A couple of days ago I noticed a new stem, about 6 inches long. Thne leaves are bright purplish red with a narrow green border. The stem is also red. It reminds me of the coloration on Iresine herbstii if you are familiar with that plant.

Any ideas about what has caused this? The plant is outside in just about the same spot I have put it for several years in partial shade/partial sun.

Thanks,
Leta

Well, I found a pic of my plant on another site. It is Hoya carnosa tricolor.
