Would anyone know if this is the correct name or has it been changed? I notice in a previous post apparently Selenicereus Pteranthus is now the name for S.Macdonaldiae and S.Boeckmanii. I have both. The former has enormous blooms the latter at best medium large blooms and both are different. How does this work then?

I don't know about your Rhipsalis Steve (I have my own actually to post up here to get ID as well ) but first thoughts on your Selenicereus pteranthus & Selenicereus macdonaldiae is that one was originally incorrectly ID'd I purchased a couple of Selenicereus grandiflorus cuttings from a lady on eBay a few weeks ago and I was going to swap one for something else but I was quickly told (nicely ) that I might as well just ignore the label as the chances are it could be anyone of the species or even a hybrid as their regularly mislabeled
Very interesting Carl, thanks. The video of S.Grandiflorus, one night,is what I have as S.G. However I was told it was Pteranthus by one 'guru' and then told it was S.G. by another. As I got mine from a guy here who specialises in Selenicereus I'm sticking by his names, but they, and other genuses seem to get changed regularly.which is confusing.
