More Info. : The genus Polaskia was named in honor of Charles Polaski who was a cactus hobbyist from Oklahoma, U.S.A. There are 2 species in the genus the other species is Polaskia Chichipe which is commercially grown for the berry like fruit it produces. Polaskia chichipe has a grey-green exterior when young later turning to a lighter green color.
