Full Description: Cactus species Myrtillocactus geometrizans is a large shrubby cactus eventually growing up to 15' tall, with candelabra-like multi-branching on mature plants. The individual stems of Myrtillocactus geometrizans are a green-bluish color average 2-1/2" to 4"+ in diameter, with five to occasionally six ribs, with areoles spaced 3/4" to 1-1/2" apart. There is an average of 3 to 5 spines in each areole but occasionally a few more. Relatively fast growing Myrtillocactus geometrizans can make for both an attractive and drought tolerant landscape plant. This cactus also produces edible fruit-see below.

Fruit : The fruit is edible, small 3/4" diameter roundish dark purple berry. Blooms profusely at 3'ft. or taller.
