Full Description: Echinopsis hybrid 'Indio Magic' has 6"+ diameter iridescent colored blooms, inner petals are yellow to apricot near throat with a cerise edge, next row same but apricot tends to turn a more medium orange, petals are narrow with a pointed tip and wavy, twisted edges. Outer petals are narrow, apricot to dark orange and occasionally turning red to very dark magenta on petal edges and tips. Filaments are translucent with a light lavender overlay, anthers cream colored, stigma cream colored with some chartreuse in throat.
Hybridized by world famous Echinopsis hybridizer Klaus-Peter Mügge of Germany. ***Coming soon in summer 2017***
Growth : Dark to lime green growth. Stem growth averages 4" to 6" in diameter and columar short stout type growth up to 18"+ on average. Spines are medium length.
Notes : Beautiful good sized multi-colored iridescent blooms. Good grower but does not produce many pups or offsets until growth reaches over 12" in height.
Blooms are very dark iridescent colored when first open but can be lighter in color in full sunlight & high temps. Colors are also darker if buds are kept in cool temps during there development.
Actually classified as a Trichocereus hybrid but growth is slow to gain any height, generally columnar but stays shorter than most Trichocereus hybrids.
