|Full Description: Hildewintera Hybrid 'Humkes Edelstein' Has a 3-1/2" to 4"+ diameter bloom with inner petals that are short, wide, pink to light-cerise colored with a faint orange mid stripe and occasionally has a wide darker orange mid stripe. Outer petals are very narrow, long, radiating inners, loose form with space between petals, orange colored with some narrow cerise edging. Stamens are colored cerise last half, anthers vary from light cerise to crème, stigma is crème colored. A cross of Hildewintera aureispina X Helianthocereus grandiflorus v. lobivoides. Hybridized by Heinrich Humke.
Growth : Stem growth averages 1-1/4" in diameter, light to dark green, multi-ribbed, short golden-yellowish spines, cylindrical and pendant in growth form.
Notes : Petals are translucent so coloring can vary depending on light exposure. Also fertilizer/light/care given. This variety can have almost solid pink inner petals depending on these factors. Outer petals are almost always primarily orange and have separation or space between petals.
