|Full Description: Trichocereus hybrid 'Heureka' has large 6" to 8" diameter blooms with wide inner petals colored white, wide light pink-rose mid-stripe near throat narrowing at mid point of petals then fading before petal tips, some soft pink streaking occasionally and random soft pink coloring on the tips of petals, wavy, slightly ruffled petal edges. 2nd row same. 3rd row same but faint yellow to salmon in mid rib as an overlay. Back petals are very narrow copper to bronze colored with some pink coloring in mid rib. Anthers and stigma are light yellow to cream, stamens are chartreuse, has a greenish to chartreuse colored throat. Growth is columnar averaging 3" to 4" in diameter to 2'-3' ft.+ tall, grayish spines.
Hybridizers cross info; ('Heureka-#MEX 543-1) this hybrid was created by the crossing of ('Gräser´s Überr.' x 'Thelesina') X Un-named BWM (Blüht wie Magnolia)-Translation; Flowers similar to Magnolia. Hybridized by world famous Echinopsis-Trichocereus hybridizer Klaus-Peter Mügge of Germany.
Notes : Good sized bloom. Flowers are similar to a Magnolia tree's flowers. Growth is fairly narrow at first with dense grayish spines.
