|Full Description: Hildewintera hybrid 'Hermann Helm' Has 3-1/2"+ average diameter blooms with inner petals white-cream colored and apricot overlayed petals in a semi-funnel form. Outer petals are dark orange to burnt orange-reddish colored tips, long, narrow, pointed outer petal tips. Cream to light yellow colored stigma. A cross of Hildewintera aureispina. Hybridized by Klaus Rippe.|
Growth: Light to dark green colored stems 2-1/2" average diameter multi-ribbed/ cylindrical, brownish colored spines on new growth near apex turning greyish on older stem growth.
Notes : This hybrid is named after Hermann Helm, a well known cacti grower & hybridizer.
The bloom coloration of this variety can vary with more yellow to darker apricot coloring in the inner and outer petals-depending on light, fertilizer and care given. The flower buds when forming are a lipstick red color with some purplish-red coloration. Stem growth blooms profusely at 12" length or longer if given bright light.
