Full Description: Succulent species Euphorbia aeruginosa has small, showy, bright-yellow flowers in winter and early spring, very attractive when it produces mass blooms flushes. The blooms tend to emerge all along the stems but are more profuse higher up on stem tips, but Euphorbia aeruginosa is primarily grown for its attractive stem growth which is thin pencil like, multi-branched, angular almost cylindrical stem structure with contrasting multi-colored foliage. The stems of Euphorbia aeruginosa have attractive contrasting blue-green to white stems with darker mottling and some pink to purple coloration on older stem segment or at nodes. The brownish-red copper colored spines also contrast with the dark almost black aerioles from where the spines emerge. A compact plant Euphorbia aeruginosa can eventually grow to average height of 18" to 2' ft. tall on by usually no more than 16" wide, with selective trimming could even be kept smaller if so desired.

A compact plant Euphorbia aeruginosa makes an excellent potted plant that can be grown indoors as a houseplant or grown outdoors in warm frost free locations, just requires good draining soil especially in winter when little water is needed.
