|Full Description: Hildewintera hybrid 'Engenhahn' Has a 3"+ diameter bloom in a soft pink to peach tones. Inner petals are lighter colored and stay in a semi-funnel, some narrow darker peach colored edges. Outer petals are colored in peach-red colored tones to salmon-red, narrow petals, re curving petals. Stamens are rose colored to light red, anthers are magenta, pistol light red, stigma is cream colored. A cross of Hildewintera aureispina x Echinopsis hybrid. Hybridized by Klaus Rippe.
Growth : Stem growth averages 1-1/4" to 2"+ in diameter, light to dark green colored stem growth, Spines are very short almost non-existent and brownish colored on new growth, whitish on older growth. Multi-ribbed, cylindrical, pendant in growth form.
Notes : This hybrids bloom coloration can vary greatly depending on light, fertilizer and general care given. Blooms do tend to consistently have lighter inner petal coloration but the overall color can be from a soft rose-pink to a salmon to a light apricot-orange. See below showing under varying light bloom appears reddish. Blooms profusely at 10"+ long stem growth.
