Full Description: Trichocereus hybrid 'Embers' has a 5" to 6" diameter bloom in red to dark orange with dark apricot to lighter orange mid rib, neon pink or cerise on petal edges, overlapping bell form.
Hybridized by Mark Dimmitt.
Growth : Stem growth is dark green, averages 4" in diameter to 3' to 4' tall.
Notes : Bloom colors vary depending on fertilizer, care and temperatures during bud formation from; dark almost red to reddish orange to at times even a lighter apricot-orange on main petal body, neon pink accents can vary also being darker purple-cerise at times. Pictures above and below show same plant blooming at various times-seasons. Not a huge bloom but very profuse, i believe this is most likely a Tricho. huasha rubra cross since this variety has similar hardy growth and tends to bloom from both at or near the crown and vertically along main stems that are mature, profuse bloomer !
