Full Description: Cactus species Echinopsis mamillosa var. kermesina has a 5" diameter bloom with many overlapping pink colored petals, very faint salmon mid stripe. Back petals are pink-bronze in color. As this is a species variety of Echinopsis mammilosa the growth of Echinopsis Mamillosa Var. Kermesina closely resembles Echinopsis mammilosa stem growth form with almost completely round globular type growth and many ribs, usually 20+, top is also slightly flattened.
Spines of this variety Ech. mammillosa v. kermesina though are shorter than Echinopsis mammilosa and rib edges are bumpy, dark green stem color.
This variety is a heavy mass bloomer, very profuse with large sized pink colored blooms.
