Full Description: Cactus species Echinopsis cuzcoensis is a tall columnar cactus, sometimes spreading multi-branched growth. Slow to moderate grower, individual stems can reach 20'+ tall with light green when young to grey-green or blue-green colored stems, 7-8+ ribs, average of 12 rigid spines. Central Spines up to 2-3/4" long are golden-brown when young turning grey-brown in color.

Synonyms : Trichocereus cuzcoensis

Native To : Peru-in the surrounded province of Cuzco.

Flower : White colored 5" to 6" long. Possibly nocturnal?

More Info : This species takes part of its name from where it was discovered as it originates from Cuzco province which also contains the city of Cuzco which was once the historic capital of the Inca Empire from the 13th into the 16th century until the Spanish conquest.

Care : Full sun, regular water in summer, occasional water to very little in winter. Porous good draining soil. Hardy to 28 degrees but only for brief periods on larger well established plants, generally likes 50 degrees and up. Very drought tolerant once well established.
