Full Description: Species Chamaecereus sylvestrii (syn. Lobivia chamaecereus) commonly called Peanut Cactus-Has extra small abundant red/orange blooms 1-1/4 inches in diameter on small peanut or finger growth. Blooms profusely spring thru summer. Can not go below freezing but will bloom well if exposed to lower temps-50 degrees or under during winter. Semi-dormant in winter and tends to get brown-reddish stems at that time, but returns to lime green stem color in spring.
Offered as a main stem pup 4" tall on average with several smaller offsets attached minimum but often a grouping of 3 to 4 small plants in one. Pups readily, heavy bloomer! Easy to grow! |
